The First Man

The First Man is my latest large scale project. A combination of cinematography and large photographic prints, this will play as an immersion project. A coffee table book will accompany the film and gallery show.

This film is being made with Nikon D3s cameras shooting approximately 100,000 still images, processed in Aperture (Apple) and then ported into Final Cut Pro X (Apple) for final editing, scoring and exporting into multiple video formats for play on various display devices. Behind the scenes videos are filmed with Nikon D7000 cameras.

The film is about the First Man and takes place in three phases, Awakening, Discovery and Destruction. The scenes are recreations of situations I have been witness to as a photojournalist of almost 40 years.
